I have always found this portrait of the Bronte Sisters facinating.
It was painted by their brother Branwell, who at first painted himself in the picture, then rubbed himself out.
You can see where he is outlined in the portrait.
The Brontes are such a facinating family anyway, but this portrait just somehow sums them up for me.
